Once again, our three villages and their respective Residents Associations will be taking part in the Great British Spring Clean in conjunction with the national campaign by Keep Britain Tidy. Each Residents’ Association will put together its own team and the one that picks up the most bags will be crowned the rubbish champion.
The Ivers Community Challenge is not just a litter pick. It’s also a mission to collect 200 bags across the Ivers but most importantly – it’s a competition to show who’s best! Last year Iver Heath managed to win by picking a few bags more than us – this can’t happen again.
We meet:
Gloves, pickers, fluorescent vests and bags will be supplied. You bring the labour and the laughs. Fair swap?
After the litter pick, we’ll reconvene at the community pub, The Swan, around 3.30pm for chips and sarnies, which are supplied free to all those who take part courtesy of Iver Parish Council who are sponsoring the event (thank you IPC!!!).
Please bring funds for your own drinks. Prizes are on offer for those teams that collect the largest number of bags, the largest group, the youngest picker, and many more.
Also:
To win, we need as many people as possible on our team, so it’s vital that you tell other people about it and encourage them to be part of the right team, the best team, the Iver Village team!
